Meet our Apex chocolate ducks

Love our Apex Ducks? Love chocolate? Then listen up.

Chief Chocolate Lady (or Easter Bunny), Flo, at Choc on Choc in Bath has been creating some miniature chocolate ducks for us and they’ll be in your room when you stay with us this Easter. Keen to find out more? Here’s a bit about our friends who created them.

Choc on Choc

The Choc on Choc story was started in 2003 by Flo and her father, Kerr in their village near Bath. Since then they’ve thrived and become known for creative inventions and chocolate layering techniques. The handmade goodies are stocked in John Lewis, Waitrose and now in your room at Apex Hotels for one weekend only.

Flo and Kerr, Choc on Choc

We challenged Choc on Choc to treat you to something a bit different when you stay with us and they’ve created what we think is the best chocolate duck we’ve ever seen.

Flo says; “I‘m delighted to be partnering with Apex Hotels this Easter. It was such a fun project to recreate the iconic Apex duck and do it justice, we hope all the guests enjoy them just as much as they do the original ducks.”

Kerr, Chief Chocolatier at Choc on Choc and dad in the father-daughter duo, has created a mould of the Apex Duck by hand in his workshop and Flo’s team will now begin to make all of our little ducks individually. They’re lovingly made in Bath with solid Belgian milk and dark chocolate and a sparkly gold beak. Here’s a sneak peak of them being made.

If you like the sound of an Easter break, it’s not too late to book a stay with us. Just make sure you book direct when you stay from 14 – 17 April 2017 and you’ll have a set of Choc on Choc Apex Ducks waiting in your room.
