How to fit self care into your life

Fitting self care into our busy lives can be difficult, especially when more pressing things take priority. However, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. We’re huge advocates for self care here at Yu Spa and we’re up for trying anything that will help us lead more positive, relaxed lives. Setting aside just an hour a week to focus on yourself can do wonders for your health and well being.

We’re not saying you need to book a two hour massage every other day to combat stress (although that sounds great). There are easier ways of incorporating self care into your daily routine that won’t take up too much of your time and will still make you feel less stressed. Listen to a relaxing podcast

Listening to a relaxing podcast can be a great way to implement self care into your daily routine. Whether you like listening to podcasts in the gym, whilst making dinner or during your commute, they’re a great way to get in some all-important self care and there are thousands of uplifting podcasts out there that are perfect for brightening up your day. Try a quick morning yoga routine

Yoga is one of the most effective ways to practise self care. If you don’t believe us, just ask Vogue. We know that not everyone has time to fit a yoga class into their busy schedule so our resident yoga expert, Sarah put together a quick and easy morning yoga routine that can be done from the comfort of your home. Set aside 10 minutes in the morning to implement some yoga into your day and see if you feel any different.

When our lives speed up, it’s easy to forget to take time for ourselves.
