What to do in Bath in November

Bath is one of the most picturesque cities in England – its famous Roman baths (from which it gets its name) draw in millions of tourists each year.

A World Heritage site since 1987, Bath is definitely worth a visit whether you’re planning to swoop in for the day or make a weekend of it, and it’s only a 90-minute train journey from London.

We’d recommend at least an overnight stay, though, as the longer your visit the more you can soak up the atmosphere and get to know the historic city. One of the best months to visit is in November when the Christmas markets come to life, but it’s not just festive fun to be had. Here’s a look at what else is happening in Bath this November.

See Bath Rugby play at The Rec

Bath Rugby

2 & 29 November

Founded in 1865, Bath is one of the oldest rugby union clubs to exist. Located in the heart of the World Heritage City of Bath, this is a rugby club steeped in history and heritage.

If you’re looking to see some top sporting action, Bath Rugby will be playing at home against Northampton Saints on 2 November in a 3pm kick-off. The team play in the Gallagher Premiership – the top rugby union division in England, so you know you’ll see some hard-hitting tackling and exciting sporting action.

They’ll be back in action at the Recreation Ground at the end of the month on 29 November for a 7.45pm kick off. Rugby at the Rec is more popular than ever, and games are usually quick to sell-out. You can check ticket availability here.
